Sacred Questions

Praying December 8, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — sacred questions @ 11:38 am

We are told that we should always pray regardless if something is wrong or if we need something or not. But I think that often people don’t take the time to pray unless they are in need of some sort of help or guidance. Do you feel that God is disappointed or unhappy that we have a tendency to do this? Do you think that he prefers to not answer those prayers because they were only prayed in a time of need?

i dont think god is ever really disappointed in us thats what forgiveness is for. but i do think many of us only pray when we want something and thats not right he isnt a magic genie that can grant our wish. You cant just worship god when you want something thats not a true believer or follower of god.

God is never dissapointed in us

  3. Orange Owl Says:

I don’t believe God would be disappointed in us for praying. I believe that he would like for us to pray more for others or for guidance and not just for “things”. I think that talking to God regardless of what it is about is a good thing because it means that you believe.

  4. asparagus hippopotamus Says:

No, I don’t think God gets upset when people pray to Him when they just want something. He knows what they’re doing, but he is kind and forgiving to all. He might not answer their question quickly, but it will be answered in some way. He might even give them a sign to pray more and not just for when they want something.

  5. Pacific Penguin Says:

I dont think God is ever mad at us, he would just appreciate for us to pray more to him than just when we need help. However, i believe that whenever someone is truly needing his guidance, he will give it to them regardless

  6. Lavender Jaguar Says:

I don’t think that God is that stubborn as to think “No, I’m not going to give into your prayer because you’re only praying in a time of need”. That is a very negative human characteristic and I believe that God is not like that. Instead, I think he is willing to listen and answer the prayers of those no matter what we have and haven’t done. All that matters is you have faith in him.

  7. Mahogany Moose Says:

I think that God would like for us to pray more often, but he does not punish those who only ask in their time of need. God knows when we need help whether we ask for it or not and he watches over us always. I believe that every thought is a prayer in a way because God is always listening whether we realize that we are praying or not. I don’t believe it always has to be a formal prayer to be answered by God.

  8. EdlinA2 Says:

I feel that God understands us and how we may go to him in time of needs or stress but that doesnt make it right. Even though we tend to go to im in this crutial time. I think that we do need to realize that we need to recongize what God does more often for us instead of just in times of need.

  10. Mango Marmoset Says:

I think God wants us to pray more often, but I don’t think he is angry with those who only pray in times of need. God loves us all, and I don’t think he would ever be angry with us over prayer.

  11. fern fox Says:

I don’t think that God could ever be disappointed in us. He will answer our prayers no matter what.

  12. meadow gila monster Says:

I dont think God would be mad at us, I feel as though that we may not be bowing our heads and praying, we are always kind of wishing for it to get better, which is in a way our own kind of prayer whether or not we know it.

  13. peach peccary Says:

I don’t feel that God is ever disappointed in us. I think that when we are facing a rough time or are in need of something he will be there for us. He is open to talk to us whenever we want to and he will gladly help us. I do think he wants us to pray to him more than just asking for things, but he never excludes us if we choose not to. I think he is just happy we want to talk to him, rather than feeling disappointed.

  14. Melon Marmoset Says:

I dont think God is disappointed if we do that, I think he just wishes we would take the time to just talk to him reguarly rather than only talk to us when we want something. I also dont think he wouldnt necessarily answer it, but i dont think God just snaps his fingers and makes things we want happen to us. I think he lays out a plan to get us what we truly want eventually and with time rather than right away.

  15. I believe that God would appricate if we prayed regulary, but I no not think that God would ignore or not answer our prayers if we just prayed at times that we needed something.
